Crispy baked chicken wings with sweet n’ sour sauce

Serves 2

  • 6 chicken wings, jointed
  • 1/2 cup plain four
  • 1 tbsp garlic salt
  • 1/2 tbsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Sweet nā€™ sour sauce

  • 2 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup crushed tinned tomatoes
  • salt & pepper

Preheat the oven to 200ā„ƒ.

In a bowl mix the dry ingredients together. Add the chicken and mixing until they are coated evenly.

On a tray lined with baking paper, place the chicken and drizzle with olive oil, mixing until coated. Tip the wings back into the remaining flour mix and coat a second time.

Place the wings back onto the tray and roast for 30-40 minutes or until wings are crispy and golden.

To make the sweet nā€™ sour sauce in a small saucepan gently fry the garlic in butter until soft. Add the vinegar and tomatoes and bring to the boil. Allow the sauce to simmer until reduced by half, season with salt and pepper and serve.
