Black Forest Cake

Chocolate Cake + Cherries + Ganache = My take on the Black Forest Cake and a birthday cake for me!

Using the Banana, almond and chocolate cake recipe from Green Kitchen Stories, I have sandwiched it together with my Anise Myrtle Cherry Jam and covered it in the chocolate coconut cream ganache I just can not get enough of. A few fresh cherries dipped in dark chocolate and toasted crushed almonds and you have a simple eye-catching but most importantly delicious Black Forest Cake. Alternatively, you could fill the cake with fresh cherries and whipped cream before slathering it in gananche.
